Make a friend while making a difference at Lampfest. This semi-annual charity concert series will occur on campus at the Fountain Amphitheater at 7 p.m. This semester Lamp Fest will be presenting Halfway Home and fundraise for The Children of Hope Academy. Free popcorn and refreshments will be available.
Dixie State University has partnered up with the St. George Children's Museum to provide a fresh start to the new school year. Come volunteer anytime between 5:30 to 8 PM at the St. George Children's Museum. Carpool services will be available at 5:30 in front of the Student Activities Center. Free food will be provided to all volunteers. Plan to wear clothing for projects such as painting, cleaning, and restoration work.
Run. Strip. Help. Starting at 7:30 p.m. DSU students will have the opportunity to donate by removing articles of clothing throughout a mile around campus. All clothing will be going donated to a local charity. This is a NEARLY naked mile in that all private areas must stay private!
Starting at noon in the Gardner Center Living Room students are invited to learn and discuss about what is happening in the political election. As always, there will be free pizza sponsored by the Pizza Factory. This Thursday come learn about issues, constitutional conventions, and the Bill of Rights. Free pocket constitutions to the first 100 students in attendance as well as a presentation given by this week’s guest speaker, Dixie State’s very own, Professor Travis Seegmiller.
Kiss the Animal Vote for the chance to watch a faculty member kiss a random animal! Five faculty members will be voted to kiss an animal for a fundraiser for the Alternative Breaks Team. Voting will happen the week leading up to the football game on September 10, and will end at the game’s halftime.
