Dixie will be hosting their first Soup Night on November 8th at 7PM in the Gardner Center Ballroom! Soup night is a charity event to raise food/money for the Utah Food bank and increase awareness of hunger and homelessness. Local restaurants, including olive garden and pizza factor, will be donating Soup and Bread sticks to the students of Dixie State University. Admittance into the event will be at least 1 can of food or $3.00 ($5.00 without student I.D.) that will be donated to the Utah Food Bank. More than 1 can is encouraged. Along with delicious Soup enjoy a night filled with games, live entertainment and a raffle for amazing prizes!
The Multicultural & Inclusion Center is proud to present the 22nd Miss Native Dixie pageant. The evening's festivities will include traditional modeling, modern and traditional performances by the contestants. Miss Native Dixie State and her First Attendant serve as ambassadors for the Native American population at Dixie State University. Current Miss Native Dixie Ashley Holiday will be there to turn her crown over to a very deserving contestant. This pageant helps support scholarships for Native women and help to continue supporting the pageant. Tickets are $5 each and the event will begin at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in the Eccles Concert Hall.

Our Special Needs Carnival is for individuals with special needs and their families within our community. There will be a large variety of Halloween themed carnival booth games and arts and crafts that anyone will be able to participate in! Everyone is encouraged to wear their Halloween costume! We are encouraging students to be selfless and come help create a fun and memorable night for someone else! The carnival will take place on October 19th at 6PM in the Gardner Center Ballroom.
Pancakes with the Presidents is an event to get your acquainted with not only the president of the university, but the presidents of several on campus clubs as well! While receiving some great food, you'll have the chance to find a club you can connect with, join, and hopefully further improve your college experience with! Scramble on down to the Gardner Center Plaza at 10AM on October 19th to join in! See you there!
October 18th will be your chance to mingle and sing some jingles! Our Spotlight Karaoke event serves for people find new interests and having a good time with karaoke on top. The event will take place in the Gardner Center Ballroom at 7:30PM. Be sure to wear a color that best accurately describes your relationship status as well!
A handful of members from DSUSA will be leading a group to Los Angeles to fight hunger and homelessness as well as the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah. This is a great opportunity to make an impact in different communities among the Southwest coast of the United States.
